Welcome to Thorplands Primary School

Thorplands Primary is an inclusive school which concentrates on providing excellent learning and teaching so that every child can achieve their very best as well rounded individuals: prepared & ready for the next phase of their education. In partnership with our parents and community, we aim to develop children who are passionate about learning, aspirational about their future and conduct themselves responsibly within their local and wider communities.

To achieve our vision, our mission as a school is to create a working environment where everyone can thrive professionally & personally. Where professional learning ensures our teachers provide excellent, inclusive teaching & learning experiences to all children. To develop curriculum leaders who ensure that our curriculum: builds rich schemas of knowledge; provides opportunities to participate in discussion & debate; ensures wonderful experiences which opens children’s minds to a variety of opportunities.
